Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the iOS app Unlock with Prayer (the “App”), provided by Oleg Pyshenkin (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Apple Standard EULA Relationship

Your license to use the App is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”), available at:

If these Terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA, the terms that are required by Apple will control to the extent of the conflict.

3. App Purpose

Unlock with Prayer helps users pause selected applications before opening them, complete short prayers and Scripture reflections, read the Bible, set Faith Reminders, and track faith-related progress such as Journey milestones, streaks, and achievements.

4. Eligibility and Device Requirements

The App is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 17.0 or later. Version 1.0 does not support iPad. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, operating system, and Apple Account as needed for App Store downloads, subscriptions, and restores.

5. Permissions and Screen Time Dependency

Prayer Locks and app-blocking features depend on Apple’s Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks, along with your device settings, permissions, schedules, and iOS system behavior. The App uses individual Family Controls authorization. It is not a child-monitoring, parental-surveillance, or employee-monitoring product.

Screen Time selections and tokens stay on your device. The App cannot guarantee uninterrupted, perfect, or error-free blocking in every circumstance.

6. Prayer Locks and Temporary Unlock Limitations

When Prayer Locks are active, selected apps may be paused until you complete the prayer flow in the App. After completion, the App may temporarily unlock the selected app for a limited period before re-locking, depending on your settings and system behavior.

Blocking, temporary unlocking, and re-locking may be affected by iOS updates, Screen Time settings, app selection changes, schedules, background activity, and other factors outside our control.

7. Notifications and Return-to-App Limitations

Parts of the prayer-unlock flow may require notification permission. If notifications are denied or delayed, the flow may not work as expected.

After completing a prayer pause, the App may attempt to return you to the temporarily unlocked application using supported URL schemes. Automatic return may not work for every app. If automatic return fails, you may need to close or background Unlock with Prayer and manually open the temporarily unlocked application.

8. Emergency Unlock

Emergency Unlock is a fallback intended to help you regain access when you cannot complete the normal prayer flow. Emergency Unlock may bypass the normal prayer flow. Availability, limits, and behavior may depend on the current version of the App.

9. Free and Pro Functionality

The App offers a functional free tier and an optional Pro subscription. Pro features, limits, and availability may change over time. Subscription status is determined through Apple and StoreKit, including verified entitlement state and any subscription cache used by the App.

10. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

The App may offer the following auto-renewable subscriptions through the App Store:

• Monthly — an auto-renewable monthly subscription;
• Annual — an auto-renewable annual subscription;
• Special Annual — an auto-renewable annual subscription offered as a special annual plan.

Prices, billing periods, and subscription details displayed by Apple at the time of purchase control. Prices may differ by country, currency, tax, and storefront. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

11. Free-Trial Eligibility

A 3-day free trial may be available for the standard Annual subscription only, and only for eligible users as determined by Apple. Free-trial eligibility, introductory offers, and promotional offers are subject to Apple’s rules and your Apple Account history.

12. Special Annual Offer

The Special Annual auto-renewable subscription does not include a free trial. It is offered as a separate annual plan and is billed according to the price and terms shown by Apple at purchase.

13. Billing, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

All billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processing for subscriptions are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple’s subscription management interface, including iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through Apple to stop future charges. Refund eligibility and processing are controlled by Apple, not by us.

14. Restore Purchases and Manage Subscription

You can tap Restore Purchases in the App (Settings → Restore Purchases) to restore eligible purchases associated with your Apple Account. You can open Manage Subscription from the App (Settings → Manage Subscription) to access Apple’s subscription management options.

15. Spiritual and Wellness Disclaimer

The App is a spiritual habit and productivity tool. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, pastoral, or emergency advice. The App does not guarantee spiritual growth, reduced screen time, productivity, emotional improvement, or any other specific result.

16. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the App, attempt to interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits, use it unlawfully, or infringe the rights of others.

17. Intellectual Property and Scripture Content

The App, its design, branding, original text, illustrations, code, and other original materials are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Scripture quotations and third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders where applicable.

18. Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App, including free and Pro features, subscription offerings, and Prayer Lock behavior. We do not promise that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

19. Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, except warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of use, or losses resulting from reliance on the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
