Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
1. Introduction and Operator Identity
This Privacy Policy explains how Oleg Pyshenkin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS app Unlock with Prayer (the “App”), designed for iPhone and requiring iOS 17.0 or later.
2. Summary
Unlock with Prayer is designed to work primarily on your device. The App does not require an account, does not sell your personal information, and does not use advertising SDKs, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, RevenueCat, App Tracking Transparency (ATT), or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Subscriptions are processed by Apple, and Superwall is used to present and operate subscription paywalls with limited operational information as described below.
3. No Account Requirement
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or use Sign in with Apple. There are no server-side user profiles in the current Release version.
4. Information Stored Locally
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
- app preferences and settings;
- subscription entitlement cache used alongside verified StoreKit state;
- selected applications and categories represented by Apple Screen Time tokens;
- Screen Time schedule and blocking configuration;
- temporary unlock and re-lock state;
- Faith Reminder preferences and local notification schedules.
This information is used to operate the App and personalize your experience on your device.
5. Onboarding Information
During onboarding, you may voluntarily provide information such as a name, age range, gender, denomination or faith preference, and goals. If you choose to provide this information, it is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. This onboarding information is not sent to Superwall.
6. Screen Time and Family Controls
The App uses Apple’s Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks so you can choose apps to pause and temporarily unlock them after completing a prayer pause. Authorization is individual—it is not a child-monitoring, parental-surveillance, or employee-monitoring product.
Your Screen Time selections and tokens stay on your device. Screen Time tokens may be shared only with the App’s extensions through Apple App Group storage so blocking and unlocking can work across the App and its extensions. We do not receive a readable remote list of your installed or selected applications.
7. Prayer, Bible, Journey, Streak, and Achievement Data
The App may store locally on your device:
- prayer progress and completion history;
- streaks and achievements;
- Journey progress;
- Bible bookmarks, selected topics, and reading progress.
Prayer data, Bible progress, streaks, and achievements stay on your device and are not sent to Superwall or uploaded to our servers in the current Release version.
8. Custom Background Photo
You may optionally select a custom background through Apple’s PhotosPicker. If you do, the image is stored locally on your device, is not uploaded, and can be removed by restoring the default background in the App. Custom photo information is not sent to Superwall.
9. Local Notifications and Faith Reminders
If you grant notification permission, the App may schedule local notifications for prayer prompts, blocked-app flows, and Faith Reminders. Notification content and schedules are handled on your device. The App does not use remote push notifications for these features in the current Release version.
10. Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit 2. Apple processes subscriptions, purchases, refunds, and entitlement data under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
The App may receive transaction and entitlement information from Apple and StoreKit so it can determine whether Pro access is active, restore purchases, and operate subscription-related features. Available subscription products include monthly, annual, and special annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Prices are localized and displayed by Apple at the time of purchase.
11. Superwall
We use Superwall to display and operate subscription paywalls and related subscription operations within the App. Superwall may receive limited operational information needed to present paywalls and process subscription-related events through its SDK, including:
- a stable pseudonymous identifier;
app_language;is_pro(Pro subscription status);- paywall interaction and purchase-related operational events where processed by the SDK.
The App does not send your name, gender, age, denomination, faith goals, mood or feelings, selected apps, Screen Time tokens, prayer text, Bible content, or custom photo information to Superwall. Superwall is not used by the App for advertising or cross-app tracking.
For more information, see Superwall’s privacy policy: https://superwall.com/legal/privacy-policy.
12. Support Communications
If you contact us at unlockwithprayer.support@gmail.com, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device details, and any screenshots you attach. We use this information only to respond to your request, investigate issues, and improve support.
13. Services Not Used
In the current Release version, the App does not use:
- Firebase Analytics;
- Firebase Crashlytics;
- RevenueCat;
- advertising SDKs;
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT) or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
OpenAI functionality is inactive in the current Release version, and no user information is sent to OpenAI.
14. Advertising and Tracking
The App does not include advertising SDKs and does not use ATT or IDFA. Superwall is used for paywall presentation and subscription-related operations only, not for advertising or cross-app tracking as configured in the current Release version. We do not sell your personal information.
15. Data Retention and Deletion
Information stored locally on your device generally remains until you remove it through the App, reset relevant settings, restore default options (such as the custom background), or delete the App. Deleting the App generally removes locally stored App data from your device.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable law.
16. Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. No account or personal profile is required. The App is not a parental-monitoring or child-surveillance product. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
17. User Choices and Privacy Requests
- You may decline Screen Time or notification permission, although some features will not work.
- You may change notification permissions in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Unlock with Prayer.
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple’s subscription management interface.
- You may delete locally stored App data by deleting the App or using controls made available in the App.
- You may remove a custom background by restoring the default background in the App.
- You may contact us with privacy questions or requests at unlockwithprayer.support@gmail.com.
18. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information within our control, such as support communications. Because most App data is stored locally on your device, you are also responsible for securing your device through passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or other protections available in iOS.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
